Ivanka Trump expected to speak at World Bank event for women entrepreneurs

Ivanka Trump is expected to speak at a World Bank group event on Saturday that is designed to empower women entrepreneurs.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. local time and will include speakers like Anta Babacar Ngom, who is the CEO of Sedima and Jim Yong Kim, who is the president of World Bank.

"Women entrepreneurs play a critical role in economic development by boosting growth and creating jobs in developing countries," the event page said. However, they face numerous challenges to financing, owning, and growing businesses. Join three successful women entrepreneurs from developing countries as they share their stories of overcoming adversity while building their businesses. Hear how the World Bank Group and partners are helping more women to become successful entrepreneurs and leaders—including through the new Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi).
