President Donald Trump's ex-wife Ivana Trump said First Lady Melania Trump needs to "get over" comments she made when she referred to herself as the first lady.
“I don't know what is Melania's problem,” President Trump’s first wife said on "The Wendy Williams Show” on Friday. “She just has to get over it. She's first lady of America, but I'm first lady Trump.”
Ivana Trump is promoting her new book "Raising Trump" which came out on Tuesday.
While promoting her new book on “Good Morning America,” Ivana Trump said, “I have the direct number to White House, but I no really want to call him there because Melania is there.”
I don't want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that because I'm basically first Trump wife,” the 68-year-old former model said with a laugh. “I’m first lady, OK?”
This comes after a spokeswoman for First Lady Melania Trump slammed Ivana's remarks on Monday, calling them “attention seeking” and “self-serving noise.”
Her comments also comes days after she told CBS News that she turned down an opportunity to be ambassador to her native Czech Republic because "I have a perfect life."
"I was just offered to be the American ambassador to Czech Republic -- and Donald told me. He said, 'Ivana, if you want it, I give it to you,' " Trump, 68, said in a new interview with "CBS Sunday Morning." "But I like my freedom. I like to do what I want to do, go wherever I want to go with whomever I want to go. And I can afford my lifestyle. OK, why would I go and say bye-bye to Miami in the winter, bye-bye to Saint-Tropez in the summer and bye-bye to spring and fall in New York? I have a perfect life."
