Whole Foods recall

Whole Foods recalled a cereal due to undeclared peanuts

Whole Foods Market is voluntarily recalling its 365 Everyday Value Organic Raisin Bran because the product contains undeclared peanuts that were not listed on the label, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

A Whole Foods Market discovered the issue, noting that the packaging contained Peanut Butter Cocoa Balls instead of Organic Raisin Bran.

The store issued a nationwide allergy alert to warn those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts.

According to the FDA, the product was sold in Whole Foods Market stores across the U.S. and online at Amazon.com.

The product was packaged in 15 oz. boxes labeled 365 Everyday Value Organic Raisin Bran with the UPC code 9948243903 and best-by date of June 4, 2018.

So far, there haven't been any reported reactions to the cereal. The affected product, however, has been removed from store shelves and online.

Customers who purchased the product can bring a valid receipt to any Whole Foods Market for a full refund. Those who purchased the product online will receive more information via email.
