Saturday Night Live paid tribute to the victims of the Las Vegas massacre and Tom Petty during this week's cold open. Country singer Jason Aldean, who was on stage at the Route 91 Festival in Las Vegas when the attack began, opened the show by speaking out in solidarity with the victims.

"When America is at its best," he said, "our bond and our spirit, it's unbreakable."
