Actress Pauley Perrette said she's leaving the CBS hit show "NCIS" at the end of its current season.
"So it is true that I am leaving NCIS," the actress wrote Wednesday morning on Twitter. "There have been all kinds of false rumors as to why (NO I DON’T HAVE A SKIN CARE LINE AND NO MY NETWORK AND SHOW ARE NOT MAD AT ME!) It was a decision made last year. I hope everyone will love and enjoy everything Abby not only for the rest of this season, but for everything she has given all of us for 16 years. All the love, all the laughter, all the inspiration… I love her as much as you do.”
Perrette, 48, has played Abby Sciuoto, the Gothic-like forensic specialist, in the show since its first season.
Many people took to Twitter to react to the news.
Omg! It was bad enough when Ziva and Tony left, but now Abby? Pauley, the show truly won't be the same without you. Best wishes, dear!— Linda J. (@lj6458) October 4, 2017
