Tina Fey handed out cheese fries in NYC for "Mean Girls" day

Tina Fey is passing out cheesy fries in New York City as tickets to "Mean Girls" on Broadway go on sale Tuesday.

Fey, who wrote the movie now and the upcoming musical, has been driving around the city serving cheese fries to celebrate the iconic scene in the movie where the main character "Cady" is asked by her crush Aaron Samuels “What day is it?”

Shortly after, Cady replies “October 3.”

Now, every time the date comes around each year, fans flock to social media to remember the iconic moment and celebrate the popular film.

Fans can purchase tickets to the musical at the August Wilson Theater box office from 10 am to 6 pm on Tuesday.

Some people took to Twitter to share photos of their cheesy fries.

The preview of the musical will begin on March 12, 2018. The show officially opens on April, 8, 2018.
