After many uncertain reports and retractions, rock and roll icon Tom Petty has died at 66. Petty passed away at UCLA Medical Center after going into cardiac arrest.
The multiple Grammy winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee was one of the most prolific songwriters, musicians and performers of the last several decades.
An inspiration to many, those in the music industry quickly took to social media to celebrate Petty's life and legacy.
