O.J. Simpson is no longer an inmate at Lovelock Correctional Center. According to the Nevada Department of Corrections, Simpson was discharged at 12:08 a.m. on Sunday.
O.J. Simpson's friend, Tom Scotto, told the Associated Press that he was with the former football great after he was freed from a remote Nevada prison. However, he the did not disclose where Simpson was going to go after being released from prison.
Simpson told the Nevada Parole Board he wanted to return to Florida where some of his children live, but Florida authorities have now said they don't want him in the Sunshine State.
Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote:
"Floridians are well aware of Mr. Simpson's background. Our state should not become a country club for this convicted criminal."
