Mile High Comics is the largest comic book store for on the planet. They have comic books dating back as far as the 1960s. One of their most expensive comics is an Amazing SpiderMan comic from 1963. Its valued at about $27,000 in fine condition. Even more popular comics, which are also more expensive, aren't even for sell to the average consumer.
Kevin Smith from the movie "Clerks" toured Mile High Comics in December of 2016 and said it should be called one of "18 wonders of the modern world". He filmed the experience and put it on YouTube.
The popular store made headlines this Summer when they pulled out of the San Diego Comic Con after a 44 year partnership. In a letter, the store's president said the popular gathering has been transformed into a "pop culture and media festival" and went through a demographic change and high rent cost.
Regardless, Mile High Comics popularity is as high as ever.
