A 21-year-old skateboarder in San Antonio, Texas, was on her way home from work last Wednesday when she was hit by a car and dragged more than 15 feet, according to our affiliate KABB.
Ashley Martinez said her boyfriend ran to the passenger side window when the driver stopped briefly.
"I told them through their window," her boyfriend, Alex Ruiz, said. "I told them, 'You ran her over. Please get out of the car.’ They looked at me right in the eyes and drove off."
Martinez, who spoke with KABB outside University Hospital where she's still recovering from roughly a dozen fractures, said she doesn't even remember being underneath the car.
“He just drove off and didn't do nothing about it," Martinez said.
A witness captured the whole incident on camera, giving Martinez and her family hope that the driver will come forward or be caught.
“Just turn yourself in, tell me you're sorry, and I'll be fine," Martinez added.
If caught, the driver will face charges for hitting Martinez and leaving the scene.
