Rapper Pitbull sent his private plane to Puerto Rico to transfer cancer patients to the United States so that the patients for chemo treatment, according to the Miami Herald.
Puerto Rico Congresswoman, Jenniffer González, thanked the singer on Twitter Tuesday.
“Thank you @pitbull for lending your private plane to move cancer patients from PR to USA so that they can get chemo,” she said.
The Miami-born rapper told the Daily News that he was glad to help.
“Thank God we’re blessed to help. Just doing my part,” he said in a statement to the paper.
Last week, Jennifer Lopez, who is of Puerto-Rican descent, pledged $1 million of the proceeds from her Las Vegas show to help residents in Puerto Rico.
