Aerosmith canceled four upcoming tour dates Tuesday night so that frontman Steven Tyler can recover from "unexpected medical issues."
"Steven is expected to make a full recovery," the band said in a statement. "With proper rest and treatment he will be back on his feet soon rocking the world."
In the release, Tyler assured his fans that he's not suffering from a life-threatening condition.
"I need to deal with this right away and get some rest and medical care immediately in order to sustain and maintain my future performances," Tyler wrote. "I promise I'll be back."
Tyler flew back to the United States "on doctor's orders" Monday night after the band's performance in São Paulo, Brazil.
"As they say, 'We humans make plans, and God laughs....'" Tyler added. "I love you all and will be back with you soon."
