A 12-year-old singing ventriloquist has won season 12 of NBC's popular reality teleivsion competition America's Got Talent, according to USA Today.

USA Today reported on Wednesday that Darci Lynne Farmer claimed victory that evening over runner-up Angelica Hale, a 10-year-old farmer and singer.

Farmer on Tuesday evening brought out her puppets Petunia and Oscar to sing The Beatles' "With A Little Help From My Friends" before she won season 12 the following night.

The pre-teen celebrated her championship Wednesday night by singing "Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better)" with Petunia and Terry Fator, a ventriloquist who won season two of America's Got Talent.

Farmer edged out nine other finalists in fan voting for her win, and she earned $1 million and the chance to headline a show on the Las Vegas Strip as prizes.

Circa previously interviewed Farmer in June, and the young Oklahoma girl explained what it was like competing in America's Got Talent at her age.
