They might be muggles, but some students at Evergreen Middle School in Hillsboro, Oregon are transported to Hogwarts every time they step into the classroom thanks to their teacher, Kyle Hubler.
Hubler said to our affiliate KATU that he wanted to bring a little bit of the magical world of Harry Potter to his classroom and hopes to inspire and motivate his students to share their own creative side.
He worked six hours a day through five weeks of hot summer weather to bring his vision of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to life.
The students, Hubler says, have responded to his passion even if they aren't Harry Potter fans.
"They're drawing pictures of the things that they're really into and they're sharing that with me," said Hubler. “They see that I'm sharing my passion with them and so they want to do that back and share their passion with me."
Hubler doesn't work the Potter theme into every lesson, but he did divide his students into “houses" like in the books.
