Cable news host Lawrence O'Donnell apologized for his actions on Twitter Wednesday night.
"A better anchorman and a better person would've had a better reaction to technical difficulties. I'm sorry," he tweeted.
A leaked outtake of Lawrence O'Donnell during a taping of MSNBC's "The Last Word" is going viral.
The outtake, which is 8 minutes long, shows O'Donnell getting irritated after hearing interfering noise in his ear from the control room.
"Who's asking for a Labor Day rundown in my ear?," O'Donnell said. "You have insanity in my ear piece....it's not the ear piece, it's someone talking on our lines."
During the most emotional part of the video, O'Donnell is heard saying "stop the hammering" in reference to a noise in the background.
Mediaite reports the video is from an episode of "The Last Word" filmed on Aug. 29, 2017.
O'Donnell's rant is drawing comparisons on social media to Bill O'Reilly's rant from his days of hosting "Inside Edition."
O'Reilly's rant was leaked online in May 2008, according to Know Your Meme.
MSNBC has not released a public statement responding to the video. Here is how some users on social media have reacted to the video:
