Comedian Kevin Hart posted a video to Instagram Saturday night, publicly apologizing to his pregnant wife and his kids for what he described as a "bad error in judgment."
In the video, Hart claims someone is trying to use one of his past "mistakes" for financial gain.
"I’m not perfect. I’m not going to sit up here and say that I am or claim to be in any way shape or form," he says in the video. "And I made a bad error in judgment and I put myself in a bad environment where only bad things can happen and they did. And in doing that I know that I’m going to hurt the people closest to me, who’ve I talked to and apologized to, that would be my wife and my kids."
A woman allegedly tried to extort money from Hart by threatening to release a "sexually suggestive" video of herself and the comedian, TMZ reports.
In the Instagram video, Hart said he would rather own up to his mistakes than let someone benefit financially from them.
"I gotta do better and I will," he captioned the video.
Hart married his wife Eniko last year and she is expecting their first child together soon. He has two children from a previous marriage.
This, however, isn't the first time Hart has addressed cheating rumors on social media. Earlier this summer Hart laughed off reports that he cheated on his wife with a woman he met in Miami.
