Former wrestling megastar Hulk Hogan was the subject of backlash on social media on Thursday after he referred to Irma victims who went without water and food as "crybabies" on Twitter.

"No water,no power, crybabies, everyone's complaining, these people have no clue how bad it could be,Praying for those that got hit hard, lost," he said in a series of tweets.

Hogans' tweets come days after officials confirmed that eight elderly people died after Hurricane Irma blew out their power and air conditioning in their nursing home.

The WWE Hall of Famer's tweets drew criticism from people on Twitter.

Some Twitter users thought his comments were inappropriate because of the 8 deaths.
