A McDonald's employee was fired in North Carolina after a video surfaced of her insulting a customer.
In the video, the McDonald's employee kept asking the customer, "Can you spell deportation?"
Wendy Rios, who was on the receiving end of the verbal attack, posted the video on Facebook on Sept. 9.
"I feel assaulted and everything happened, nothing more why I asked if my order was complete?..... don't laugh at me English, is that when I'm pissed off," she wrote. "Help to share it so this lady can resist."
The video has generated more than 400,000 views as of Wednesday afternoon.
George Forrest, a McDonald's franchisee, released a statement in response to the incident, New York Daily News reported.
"The actions of this employee are inexcusable and in no way reflect the strong values McDonald's and my organization place on diversity, inclusion and providing a welcoming experience for our customers. This individual is no longer employed at my restaurant and we have expressed our sincerest apologies to the customer for this situation," the statement read.
