President Trump has decided to end DACA, reports say


President Donald Trump has decided to eliminate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program but will give Congress up to six months to find a legislative alternative, according to Reuters.

According to two people familiar with the decision President Trump has decided to delay enforcement of his decision to end the program known as DACA, sources said. Lawmakers in Congress will be given the opportunity to find an alternative solution to the program.

DACA has allowed nearly 800,000 undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children a reprieve from deportation and a work permit that’s renewable every two years.
