This robotics company revealed BB-8's evil twin

Everyone's favorite droid from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," BB-8, makes a return appearance in the upcoming sequel, "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." But this time, he will face off with his evil twin, BB-9E.

Sphero, a robotics company, unveiled new photos of BB-8's arch-nemesis on Thursday. The company describes the new toy as a “rolling menace.”

The BB-9E features a black and grey exterior design and includes nine commands via the app "Patrol." The droid replica, which is priced at $149, is expected to go on sale at Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and other outlets starting Sept. 1 at midnight.

The BB-8, BB-9E and R2-D2 droid toys are designed to interact with the movie, according to the Sherpo website. When the film is being played, the droids will make noise and interact with each other.

"Watch your Droids interact together and view films from the Star War saga with BB-8, BB-9E, and R2-D2 reacting by your side. Keep an eye out for the rest of the saga in the Sphero-Enabled Droids app," the website said.

The sequel is expected to debut on December 15.

Some are excited about the new droid.
