Rachel Platten has done it again. Coming off of the massive success of hits like, "Stand By You," "Better Places" and of course, "Fight Song" (which currently stands at 300 million views), Rachel has released her new single and video for "Broken Glass," her first single on her second major label album. And Circa News sat down with her to talk about it.
The production process for "Broken Glass" wasn't like her other hits. Feeling that the song in it's original form needed a little "special sauce," Platten called on the production duo, Stargate. It was important that her fans hear the words in the song and after stripping out the drums in the chorus, this feminist anthem was created.
The video features Platten and her girl squad riding bikes, which as we found out was not the easiest to choreograph. However, the set was filled with a ton of girl power from her squad of BMX riders to the the video director, really bringing this anthem to life.
And in case you missed it, she performed her song or as she says her "baby" for the first time on GMA last week and we haven't stopped singing the song since.
And if you happen to notice, Platten has made a few changes to her footwear. She told us, performing in sneakers is the way to go.
