WATCH: A Houston man catches a fish inside of his home after Hurricane Harvey


A video went viral over the weekend of a Houston man attempting to capture a live fish inside of his home after it flooded from Hurricane Harvey.

Viviana Saldana posted the video on Facebook of her father,Saul Saldana, attempting to catch the fish inside of his home.

Saldana wrote in the post, "Why go out looking for food when the food is coming to our living room?"

Her father managed to capture the fish after several failed attempted. The video went viral and generated over five million views since Saturday.

Viviana Saldana told Circa that their house started to flood Saturday night around 10 p.m. local time.

"It started with only water coming in through the garage to then coming in though any opening," she said.

Saldana said that her dad was trying to make the best out of a scary situation.

"We were staying on the second floor and thankfully the water had not gotten any higher than knee deep," she said.

When asked if her father has caught any more fish since Saturday she replied "no."

Several cities in Texas have experienced severe flooding. Texas officials said at least two people have died and 14 have been injured by the hurricane.
