In honor of National Equality Day, hundreds of people are gathering in downtown Los Angeles on on Saturday for the "Nevertheless, We Persist Rally and March."
The march is hosted by project femme, a youth-run organization that aims to uplift the voices of female, nonbinary, and LGBTQ+.
Gabrielle Faulkner, one of the organizers of the march, told Circa that she is excited to see so many people turn out for the march.
Faulkner, 16, says that this march addresses many issues, like President Trump.
"We don't like saying his name too much because it inspires negativity, but this is very much an anti-Trump march."
President Trump issued a statement on Friday to address National Equality Day.
"My Administration will continue to support the advancement of women, in every corner of the Nation," he said.
"As President, I am also working to ensure that all women have access to the training they need to succeed in our modern economy, especially in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields," he added.
