White House staffer Tom Bossert and press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders are conducting a press conference Friday as President Trump's administration prepares to deal with Hurricane Harvey.

Forecasters on Friday said Harvey had morphed into a Category 2 hurricane as it nears the Texas coast, and the storm could intensify further.

The hurricane boasts the potential for up to 3 feet of rain, 125 mph winds and 12-foot storm surges, meaning it could be the first kind to strike the U.S. in about 12 years.
