SpaceX CEO Elon Musk unveiled the company's new sleek white spacesuit on Instagram Wednesday.
The new suits will be worn by astronauts on SpaceX's crewed flights coming up next year.
On Instagram Musk noted that the spacesuit pictured was not a mock-up and was "already tested to double vacuum pressure." He said it was "incredibly hard to balance aesthetics and function."
SpaceX is currently developing a crew version of its Dragon cargo capsule for astronauts. The spacecraft is being developed to "ferry astronauts to the space station under contracts with NASA," CNN reports.
Boeing unveiled its blue spacesuits for its Starliner capsules in January 2017.
