Still not sure how you're going to commemorate the "Great American Eclipse of 2017?" We're here to help.
In the U.S., everyone under the sun is talking about it so you might as well join the party...by throwing one!
Tailgating is an American institution and we've done all the pre-planning for you. You'll need:
Beverages! We suggest a selection of two beers. Sol, a Mexican classic, and Blue Moon, the Belgian-style American favorite.
Food! Think 'round.' Melon balls, meat balls, or a caprese salad with cherry tomatoes and fresh bocconcini.
Glasses! We can't stress this enough: DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SOLAR ECLIPSE! You need special glasses to safely view the eclipse. Make sure to check that they are ISO 12312-2 certified, too.
Facts! Impress your friends by knowing the last total solar eclipse to pass over the entire U.S. was way back in 1918...and the next one isn't until 2024.
And, finally, a soundtrack! Yes, cue up Bonnie Tyler's 'Total Eclipse of the Heart,' but add in some other bangers, too. How about Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" and Ozzy Osbourne's "Bark at the Moon," just to name a few?
