Bonnie Tyler will perform 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' during the solar eclipse

Guests on Royal Caribbean's Total Eclipse Cruise can double down and add the perfect soundtrack to their once-in-a-lifetime viewing experience next Monday.

Bonnie Tyler will be on board the Oasis of the Seas and is scheduled to perform her 1983 hit "Total Eclipse of the Heart" just as the moon crosses in front of the sun during the solar eclipse.

The ship will be positioned in the path of totality as Tyler performs, according to Time.

"It’s going to be so exciting," said the Welsh singer, 66. "It doesn't happen very often, does it?"

Tyler will be backed during her performance by DNCE, which counts Joe Jonas as a member and is best known for its hit "Cake By the Ocean."

The cruise departs for the Caribbean on Aug. 20 from Orlando, Florida.

"Bonnie Tyler was a natural choice for this once-in-a-lifetime moment," said Royal Caribbean President and CEO Michael Bayley.

Some think Tyler and the solar eclipse are a perfect pairing.

"Total Eclipse of the Heart" is the biggest hit of Tyler's career. It hit No. 1 in the U.S., the U.K. and several other countries. Her 1978 single "It's a Heartache" peaked at No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard Top 100.
