Alcohol-infused gelato is the new sweet treat at Sottosuolo in NYC

0

Near the corner of 27th St. and Lexington Ave. in New York City, is a quaint Italian restaurant known as i Trulli. Owner, Nicola Marzovilla, opened i Trulli in 1994 and the restaurant features over 450 different Italian wine labels.

Recently, Marzovilla opened a sister store next door called Sottosuolo. His homemade gelato and sorbet infused with alcohol are the featured items known as Gelato Corretto. Marzovilla is hoping these fun and tasty products will be popular among the younger crowds.

The menu boasts eight different flavors - four gelato and four sorbet. According to Marzovilla, the menu items will rotate seasonally since these treats can be enjoyed year round.
