During NBC's summer revival of "Weekend Update" on Thursday featuring anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che, former Saturday Night Live comedian Bill Harder returned to the airwaves to poke some fun at "The Mooch."
The three-minute segment honed in on former communications director Anthony Scaramucci's short tenure in the Trump administration in which he lasted 11 days before being ousted by newly appointed chief of staff John Kelly. Che's newscast is briefly interrupted by a FaceTime call from the former New York financier.
"Yo, it's me. Anthony Scaramucci. 'The Mooch!'' Harder said from the comforts of a luxurious apartment.
As Che attempts to question Scaramucci on his brief White House stint, he continually interrupts, with "Mooch," insisting that Che call him by his nickname. Eventually Scaramucci addresses the notorious interview published by the New Yorker in which he insults former chief of staff Reince Priebus.
"You know how you miss me," Harder continued. "I'm like human cocaine. You got a little bump in me, I made you feel excited but I was out of your system too quick. And, now that I'm gone, you're all depressed and edgy and trying to figure out how to score some more ScaraMOOCH!"
"Well, I got to admit. We did hope that you would stick around a little bit longer," Che said.
"Me too. But The Mooch has no regrets, baby!," Harder replied. "All I did was sell my company, miss the birth of my child and ruin my entire reputation--all to be king of idiot mountain for 11 days. The Mooch is loose!"
