A crazed fan jumped onto Britney Spears' concert stage in the middle of an act

Things got a little "crazy" during Britney Spear's Wednesday night performance at the AXIS auditorium in Las Vegas after a fan jumped onto the stage in the middle of her performance, E! News reported.

Initially, Spears remained unaware of the fan's presence, asking the crowd, "Are you guys having fun?" Dancers proceeded to blockade the man from Spears as her security guards began to swarm her.

"Is something OK?" she asked. What's going on?"

Realizing what had happened, Spears' knees buckled as she clung to one of her guards. "He's got a gun?" she asked.

The intruder caused the pop princess to cut her performance short. Spears muted her microphone before being escorted backstage. Fans chanted their support as the 35-year-old singer made a safe exit.

"We love you!" they said. "We love you!"

Meanwhile, Spears' dancers and security guards were occupied subduing the fan, who performed a cartwheel and kicked one of them in the process. When he attempted to break free of their restraint, the dancers forcefully pushed him to the ground until additional guards could intervene.

Fans were quick to show their disapproval of the man, shouting "asshole" as he was being restrained. The man was ultimately removed from the theater.

Spears is expected to return to the stage on Friday and Saturday.
