'Mr. Trash wheel' has cleaned over 1 million pounds of garbage in Baltimore waterways

A cleaning device known as "Mr. Trash Wheel" is cleaning up Baltimore's famous harbor. The device was installed three years ago and is powered by solar panels to block debris from entering the Chesapeake Bay.

John Kellett, the trash wheel inventor, claims that over a million pounds of trash have been pulled out of the water by the vessel since it was installed.

The vessel picks up an average of 14,000 Styrofoam containers a month and almost nine million cigarette butts.

Meanwhile, the cleaning device has attracted a lot of attention and even has its own Twitter account.
