Actor Robert Hardy, best known for his roles in the "Harry Potter" films and the TV series "All Creatures Great and Small," has died at 91, his family said.
Hardy played Cornelius Fudge in the "Harry Potter" series. He portrayed Siegfried Farnon in the veterinary series "All Creatures Great and Small."
"It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Hardy CBE today announced his death, following a tremendous life: a giant career in theatre, television and film spanning more than 70 years," Hardy's family said in a statement.
Hardy also played former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill several times, including in the 1981 series "Winston Churchill: The Wilderness Years."
Tributes quickly began to pour in on social media.
