Conservative pundit Tomi Lahren admitted she benefits from Obamacare

One of the most buzzed about events at Politicon this weekend was a discussion between conservative pundit Tomi Lahren and talk show host Chelsea Handler.

Lahren is well known as a former conservative commentator on the Blaze, a right wing media company founded by Glenn Beck.

Despite their political ideologies falling on complete opposite ends of the spectrum, Handler made it clear that they wouldn’t be having a debate and expressed a sincere desire to understand people who share Lahren’s views.

The most notable moment was after Handler asked, “So do you have a health care plan or no?”

The crowd responded with laughter and boos after the 24 year old admitted that she was still on her parents' insurance plan, one of the key provisions of the Affordable Care Act. The law raised the cut-off age for children to remain on their parents insurance from 19 to 26.

“Most Republicans, most conservatives, most Trump supporters don’t believe that every tenant of Obamacare is bad,” she said.

Support for the ACA has grown ever since Republicans began legislating to repeal and replace it. In April, 55 percent of Americans said they supported the law.

Tomi Lahren also faced off against democratic strategist Symone Sanders where the two debated over if Anthony Scaramucci should stay in the White House, if CNN is fake news and what is wrong with the Democratic Party.
