Wands up, Potter fans, because Universal Studios’ real life Hogwarts just got a makeover!
Since it’s opening last year, "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter," has brought JK Rowling’s novels to life for fans all over the world, but this summer Universal Studios Hollywood stepped it up by adding an immersive nighttime light and sound experience.
Using state-of-the-art light displays and special effects projections, The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts transforms the castle’s facade into a celebration of the four houses: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin. Visitors watch the spectacle from the park’s full-scale replica of Hogsmeade Village, surrounded by a special musical arrangement by the film’s composer John Williams.
Harry Potter fans have plenty to celebrate after the announcement of two new books coming in October, but until then you can practice your spells at The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts until August 20th.
