Following rave reviews on "Big Little Lies," Reese Witherspoon is poised to return to TV, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The untitled show will also star former "Friends" actress Jennifer Aniston.
Details of the large TV packages remain scare, but Witherspoon and Aniston are expected to take on roles that explore morning TV shows and the larger New York media scene. The original concept was spearheaded by former HBO head of drama Michael Ellenberg and his film and TV production company, Media Res.
The package has yet to hit the market, but it's expected to air on premium outlets such as HBO and Netflix.
If Jay Carson's involvement has anything to say about the tone of the future show, it's that it may feature dramatic political elements. Carson is known for his role as a political consultant on "House of Cards." Academy Award nominee Steve Kloves ("Harry Potter," "Jungle Book," and "Wonder Boys") will executive produce.
This won't be the first time the dynamic blonde duo will collaborate. Witherspoon guest starred as Aniston's younger sister on "Friends."
