Swedish fish. Nerds. Gummy peaches. A giant lollipop. When you think cocktail, you probably don't think all of these candies... and more.
But Black Tap, a New York burger and beer joint that created quite the buzz for their over-the-top milkshakes, is bringing that same approach to a frosé, or frozen rosé.
"We became famous for these crazy milkshakes that we do, and it's really been a fun little cultural phenomenon for us," said Peter Caporal, general manager of the Lower East Side location of Black Tap. "We wanted to make something that was fun, and cool and still crazy, but for the adults. So we came up with this alcoholic, slushy program, and this is kind of the opening battle call here."
The Crazy Frosé is getting a limited run at Black Tap, ending on July 30, 2017. The drink was developed in a partnership with social media influencer The Fat Jew and his White Girl Rosé, a basic blend of Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc.
