A Tennessee man’s ice cream photo went viral for depicting true love

A Tennessee man’s photo went viral after seemingly capturing a couple displaying true love, according to our affiliate WZTV.

WZTV reported Tuesday that Nashville’s Brent Kelley stopped at a Sonic for ice cream with his children when he noticed a touching scene.

Kelly witnessed an elderly man draping a towel over his wife before spoon-feeding her ice cream in the 98-degree heat.

The Nashville man captured the heartfelt moment and shared it on Facebook in a post that has since gone viral.

“So today, I took the kids to the pool and we stopped for ice cream on the way home,” he wrote.

“When I got my ice cream and pulled out, I realized that this elderly man beside me was sitting outside his car door, spoon feeding his wife ice cream who also looked in her late eighties,” Kelly added.

“He draped a towel over her and slowly fed his bride in the 98 degree temperature. It was a beautiful display of love.”

Kelley’s post struck a chord with other Facebook users, who have since liked it about 267,000 times.

About 36,000 users have also commented on the image, while 221,000 have shared it with others.
