This water park is a game changer for special needs kids

A new water park in San Antonio, Texas, Morgan's Inspiration Island, provides special needs guests with unprecedented accessibility to slides and pools.

The park features dozens of waterproof wheelchairs, handicap friendly dressing rooms and even pools with warm water, a feature that allows people with sensory challenges (like people with autism) to play safely.

The water park is just one part of Morgan's Wonderland, a theme park which emphasizes inclusion. The park is now in its 8th season, and admission to the park for all special needs guests is completely free.

People's lives have been changed simply because of the park. I know my life has been changed.

Among other innovations, Morgan's Inspiration Island provide pneumatically-powered wheelchairs--power chairs that can travel through water.

It's only been open a few months, but on sunny weekend days the park often reaches capacity.
