Woman taking a selfie

'Let's take a selfie' went too far for one woman who caused $200,000 worth of damage to art sculptures

A woman visiting the 14th Factory in Los Angeles, Calif., caused $200,000 worth of damage to three art sculptures when she knocked over a display while attempting to take a selfie, according to surveillance footage shared to LiveLeak.

The dark-haired woman is seen in the upper right-hand corner of the camera's view. The woman crouches down in front of a row of white columns displaying small art sculptures when they begin to fall like dominoes crashing to the floor.

Though it's nearly impossible to see her face, viewers can feel the woman's mortification as she runs down the aisle to assess the damage.

The sculptures, according to the museum, were "permanently damaged."

The 14th Factory describes itself as a "monumental, multiple-media, socially engaged art and documentary experience."
