A suspected shooter has committed suicide in Florida

The Escambia County Sherrif in Florida on Wednesday confirmed that a suspect shooter from Alabama had committed suicide in his state, according to our affiliate WBMA.

Kenneth Dion Lever, 51, reportedly killed himself near a Navy Federal Credit Union in Florida following a shooting earlier that day in Gardendale, AL.

WBMA reported that the victims of Wednesday's shooting are Dana Reeves Lever, 50, of Gardendale, AL, Bonnie Reeves Foshee, 65, of Fultondale, AL and Don Austin Foshee, 69, also of Fultondale.

Lever, a white male with brown hair and blue eyes who weighed approximately 220 pounds, was identified as a suspect shortly after the incident.

WBMA initially reported that three people had died Wednesday following a shooting in Gardendale, AL and that the suspect remained at large.

The news outlet reported that Lever had been identified as the suspect and then described his vehicle as a black 2007 Lincoln Navigator with a Florida license plate reading # 689NFN.

Lever was then said to also possible be riding in a White Honda Accord with Florida tags or a black 1986 Chevrolet Camaro.

Some Twitter users on Wednesday voiced alarm at the shooting, which reportedly occurred at Gardendale’s Peachtree Crossings mobile home park.

WBMA also reported that court documents say a protection of abuse order has been filed against Lever in Jefferson County.

The order was reportedly filed by a woman on behalf of her 11-year-old daughter while Lever was living in Florida.

The woman and her daughter were purportedly living in Jefferson County, and the former alleged Lever was abusing her child during his unsupervised visits.

The child was seeing a therapist who voiced concerns about Lever to her, according to the court documents.

The mother alleged the girl’s disposition is different after visiting Lever, including becoming very clingy.

The woman additionally alleged that Lever has pending abuse charges against him in York, PA, and WBMA has called the court system there to find out more.
