Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Adolphus Washington was arrested on Sunday at a water park in Ohio for the unlawful carrying of a concealed firearm , reported the Cincinnati Enquirer on Monday.
According to police report, officers were clearing crowds out of the parking lot when they saw that Washington "reached for and displayed a gun while sitting inside his vehicle; just feet away from officers. The suspect did not inform officers beforehand."
The defensive lineman was arrested later Sunday evening.
Washington was in his second year in the NFL and was a third-round draft pick for the Bills.
According to a statement to members of Buffalo sports media, the Bills are "aware of the incident regarding Adolphus Washington and have been in contact with him. Since it is a pending legal matter, we will have no further comment."
