One person was killed and eight were wounded when two men opened fire at a gender reveal party near Cincinnati, Ohio. The expectant mother and three children were among those injured, authorities said.
Police told Fox affiliate WXIX-TV that 22-year-old Autumn Garrett was pronounced dead at the scene.
Colerain Township spokesman James Love said many of the victims were watching a movie when shots rang out around 11:20 p.m. Of the eight surviving victims, Love said only one had serious injuries.
The motive for the shooting is still unknown. Love said witnesses reported seeing two men running away from the home shortly after the shooting.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that a woman was sitting outside the house at the time of the shooting and called 911.
"Two guys just came in and shot people in the house," the woman told the dispatcher. "There was little kids hurt and everything. I was sitting in my car. They just ran in and started shooting. There's a pregnant girl here."
Investigators processed evidence in the home overnight and are waiting to interview all of the surviving victims before announcing any suspects.
