Police say three people have been shot at a nightclub in South Carolina.
The shooting happened both in and outside of Club Empire in Gaffney, according to witnesses and police.
The shooting happened early Saturday morning around 1:30 at Club Empire on Birnie Street.
Several of the victims were sent to Spartanburg Regional Hospital. Their identities and conditions have not been released.
Some witnesses at the scene gave police the name of a person they believed to be the shooter, but he is not in custody at this time and no names of suspects have been released by police.
"We did have a shooting at a local club last night," said Lt. Ron Ramsey of the Gaffney Police Department said in a statement Saturday morning. "Three injured. This is not being investigated as a terrorist event. The shooter(s) are from the surrounding area and appeared to have an ongoing problem with each other. No further information will be released at this time."
