Could luck and love be in the air for couples who tied the knot on Friday's "lucky sevens" date?
"I do" was said 1,500 times at Vegas Weddings on Friday, July 7, 2017. The last time the "lucky sevens" wedding date happened was a decade ago on July 7, 2007.
Those getting married at Vegas Weddings were not alone, according to Nevada's Clark County Marriage Bureau.
The bureau said they issued 500 marriage licenses Thursday, which is double the usual number that day.
In 2007, more than 1,600 wedding licenses were issued in Clark County on July 6, and nearly 1,000 more followed on July 7.
Some couples decided to tie the knot Friday so they do not have to wait another decade before tying the knot. For couples who missed out on getting married on July 7, there's another chance coming on Friday, July 17.
Chapel of Flowers, another wedding chapel in Las Vegas, also reported that they will host a large number of wedding ceremonies today, with over 64 expected to take place.
In addition, they said many couples who got married on July 7, 2007, will return to the chapel to renew their vows 10 years from now.
