Vice President Mike Pence inspired a meme Thursday after touching National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) equipment labeled “DO NOT TOUCH,” according to Gizmodo.

Gizmodo reported that the original photo was taken by Reuters’ Mike Brown during Pence’s tour of NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL.

The picture reportedly shows Pence laying his hand on a critical piece of space flight hardware at the facility’s Orion clean room.

The device is labeled “Critical Space Flight Hardware” in black text with “DO NOT TOUCH” listed underneath it in red text.

Twitter users on Friday pounced on the image, using it to poke fun at Pence and photoshop the vice president into hilarious memes.

The moment also launched Reddit thread Friday with users having a photoshop battle over the photograph.

Pence vowed during his tour of the Kennedy Space Center Thursday that the U.S. would help the first humans reach Mars.

“Here the Hubble Space Telescope, the New Horizons, and so many other technological wonders lifted off the Earth to give us a glimpse of our fellow planets, the distant stars and the infinite galaxies that are a window into our very past,” he said.

“And here from this bridge to space, our nation will return to the moon, and we will put American boots on the face of Mars."
