Trump passed over for first lady's handshake

The Polish first lady left Trump hanging on a handshake

So. Much. Cringe.

President Trump had more handshake trouble on Thursday when he went to shake the hand of Agata Kornhauser-Duda, wife of Polish President Andrzej Duda. As Trump extended his hand, Kornhauser seemed to move right past him and opt to shake the hand of first lady Melania Trump.

Trump has had issues with handshakes when meeting world leaders in the past, most notably and most recently engaging in a white-knuckle, super-alpha shake with newly-elected French President Emmanuel Macron.

And of course, some on social media absolutely loved this new instance of awkward.

Editor's note: The original headline said the Polish first lady "snubbed" Trump's handshake. It's not clear that was her intent. But she definitely left him hanging.
