Stephen Curry’s jersey from Game 3 of the NBA Finals sold for a record price

A jersey worn by basketball star Stephen Curry has set the record for the largest amount for a game-worn item auctioned off by the National Basketball Association (NBA), according to ESPN.

The Golden State Warriors guard’s gear from Game 3 of the last NBA Finals reportedly sold for $135,060 Thursday night.

The previous record belonged to former Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant, whose final All-Star Game jersey purportedly sold for $100,040 in 2016.

Many Twitter users on Friday greeted the news with images of Curry playing during the series between the Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this month.

ESPN reported that Cavaliers small forward LeBron James’s Game 3 jersey sold for $92,020 Thursday evening.

Warriors small forward Kevin Durant’s jersey sold for $71,260, meanwhile, while Warriors small forward and shooting guard Andre Iguodala’s went for $31,706.

Curry nabbed 26 points and 13 rebounds during the Warriors’ Game 3 victory over the Cavaliers on June 7.

Durant put up 31 points in the contest, with 14 points coming during the fourth quarter, including his game-winning three-pointer over James.

The Warriors ultimately defeated the Cavaliers during this year’s NBA Finals on June 12, winning the series four games to one and becoming the league’s 2017 champions.
