Trump said Obama 'colluded or obstructed' in the election, and it did Democrats 'no good'

President Trump said in a series of tweets Monday that former President Obama took no action against Russia over its alleged interference in the 2016 presidential election because he expected Hillary Clinton to win.

"The reason that President Obama did NOTHING about Russia after being notified by the CIA of meddling is that he expected Clinton would win," Trump tweeted.

In another tweet he said. "He didn't 'choke,' he colluded or obstructed, and it did the Dems and Crooked Hillary no good."

He added that he deserved an apology.

In an interview last week, Trump criticized Obama over Russia's alleged election interference, accusing his predecessor of doing "nothing."

“Well I just heard today for the first time that Obama knew about Russia a long time before the election, and he did nothing about it. But nobody wants to talk about that,” Trump said on “Fox and Friends Weekend.”

Trump's accusations against Obama come amid multiple investigations into whether his campaign colluded with Russia during the 2016 election. The FBI confirmed that the president is not under investigation, but the Justice Department, FBI and Senate and House intelligence committees are investigating possible links between Trump's team and Russia.
