University of Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh plans to ask former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama to be honorary captains at a game this upcoming season, ESPN reported.
He told reporters Saturday, "We're making those asks. Official asks. In the process of making an official ask. There's been, 'Hey, we'd like you to do it,' and now we're doing official asks."
Harbaugh met with the former president on Wednesday during a trip to Washington, D.C.
In January, it was announced Usher will serve as an honorary captain during a game this fall.
And in the past, Michael Jordan and New England Patriot's quarterback Tom Brady have served as honorary captains as well.
