Trump said he is 'being investigated for firing' ex-FBI director James Comey

President Donald Trump early Friday tweeted that he is currently under investigation for firing former FBI director James Comey, who called the president a "liar" under oath last week.

"I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! Witch Hunt," he tweeted.

The president's tweets come after reports that a special counsel is investigating him for possible obstruction.

A Trump associate said the president is considering firing Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

"nobody has been able to show any proof," about Russia collision he tweeted.
